Hiring of the theatre for a private function/party is R3 000 per evening. It is essential to arrange all details with us via email: info@kleinlibertasteater.co.za . Bar closes at 01h00 and venue at 02h00 for all private functions.

Hiring of the theatre for a show is 20% of your ticket sales with a minimum of R1 200. To make a booking, you have to pay R1 200 which is deducted the evening of your performance when we do the finances of the show. As soon as we receive your R1 200 we send you a contract which both parties sign. Cancellation of a booking is R1 200. All liquor or juice served, must be bought though our cash bar. The theatre seats 140 people in rows or 100 at tables.  We have 12 theatre lights and a basic sound system. For drama productions use of the CD player and speakers are included in the rent, but if you need a sound operator, there is an additional payment of  R150 per hour. Our sound system is not recommended for bands and can only be used for drama productions, we also do not have microphones. Bands must  bring their own sound system and operator as well as someone to do the ticket sales.

The stage is 6m by 6m, wings and backdrop excluded.  With wings and backdrop it is 7m by 7m.  There are two dressing rooms, a foyer, enclosed patio with seating and cash bar. We have an outdoor stage which can accommodate 1 000 people on the lawn. The cost for the big outdoor stage is R1 500.  Parking is safe and we have a car watchman at every show to guard the vehicles. We do catering on request and although we do not have a restaurant, we have food available at the shows which we order on request from a private caterer for every show.  

You determine your own ticket price. We can handle your bookings and put up posters in our foyer.  A notice about your show goes out to our e-mail database, newspapers (we send it to Eikestadnuus, Helderbergpost, Burger, Tygerburger and Rapport) and radio stations (we send it to Fine Music Radio, Radiohelderberg, Radio Sonder Grense, Radio MFM, Radio KC and Bushradio). Info is also published in electronic “newspapers” (Cape Almanac, Writing Studio, Litnet etc.). We do expect you to support us with the promotion of the show and need all the necessary information at least 3 weeks before the show to enable us to keep our promise for the promotion.
